These Terms of Service are the rules and governing document of your use of the battle.co.uk website - including any subdomains or other websites within the Battle group. We've written these terms in simple English as far as possible.
By using battle.co.uk, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. We encourage you to read this document in full.
Note that unless otherwise stated, or unless the context requires otherwise, any plural terms (e.g. servers) has the same meaning as the singular (e.g. server) and vice versa. Likewise, any gendered terms applies to all genders unless otherwise stated or a context requires so.
Battle is a Minecraft Server Listing and aggregator website with the purpose of allowing users to discover great Minecraft servers. The purpose of this document is to outline the rules and requirements that govern your usage of the service. By using the service, you are agreeing to these terms of service. If you do not agree with these terms, you must immediately disconnect from the service.
If we change these terms of service, the 'Last updated' field on this document will reflect the change. Any change that is not merely grammatical, typographical (spelling/formatting) or of a similar nature will also be communicated by way of an email sent to registered user accounts.
Users must be over the age of 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, however, you must have the permission of a parent or other legal guardian before creating an account. If we detect accounts used by a person under the age of 13 (see our Privacy Policy), we reserve the right to delete the account.
Passwords to accounts will have a security policy applied to them which must be followed to access the service. You may only have one user account, and the account must be for your sole use only.
If you reside in a country subject to financial sanctions with the United Kingdom, you must not create a user account.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our sole discretion. If we terminate your account, you must not create a new account. Your statuatory rights under our Privacy Policy are not affected if your account is terminated.
Your account is your responsibility. You must take reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorised access to your account. Two-factor authentication is available on Battle, and we encourage you to enable it on your account.
If you lose your two-factor authentication recovery codes, we at our sole discretion reserve the right to disable your two-factor authentication on your behalf. We will not routinely restore access to accounts who have lost their two-factor authentication.
To create a server on Battle, the server must be online at the point it is created. Any required fields must be filled in before a server may be created. Servers will be automatically approved unless our automated spam filter rejects your server, in which case it will be manually reviewed.
We will poll (attempt to connect to) your server every 15 minutes. You must not block or reject our attempt to connect to your server. We reserve the right to display analytics and telemetry gained from these polls on your server's listing web page.
There is no fee to list a server on battle.co.uk.
We may, at our sole discretion, remove a listing from Battle. We will remove servers which are profane or obscene in nature. Servers should comply with the Minecraft End User Licence Agreement (EULA). We may remove a server for any reason, and will attempt to inform you of the reason if practicable.
If a server does not respond to over 1,000 successive polls, the server may be removed from the website.
There is no right of appeal if a server is removed from the website. Any telemetry or statistics related to the server will also be destroyed if a server has been removed from the website.
Website visitors may vote for a listing. Only one vote may be cast on a specific server by a website visitor in a 24 hour period. A website visitor may vote for more than one server in 24 hours.
Battle offers integration with the Votifier v2 voting protocol. A listing may provide the relevant credentials and Battle will attempt to send a vote to the server.
Servers will be listed in order of votes obtained within the last approximate seven days. A sponsored server will appear at the top of listing pages for all categories of server excluding Pixelmon (unless the sponsored server is categorised as a Pixelmon server by the server owner).
Battle will endeavour to provide one auction per calendar month. Battle are not obliged to run an auction in a given calendar month. Each auction will clearly state the dates of the bidding process, and the dates servers will be displayed as a sponsored server for.
A user wishing to bid on an auction must complete an identity verification process via a provider of Battle's chosing. This process is to verify a user's identity for compliance, anti-fraud and regulatory purposes.
No user who resides in a country subject to financial sactions with the United Kingdom may bid directly or indirectly on an auction. Any user who bids on an auction must be over 18. If a user is over 13, their parent or guardian must bid on their behalf and complete identity verification.
Battle may disqualify a user from bidding on an auction. If Battle has disqualified a user who has already placed a bid, the bid shal; be voided. Any user who has been preivously disqualified by Battle may not bid on an auction without written approval from Battle.
An auction will be displayed on the auctions page publicly to any user eligible to bid on an auction. Each auction may have additional conditions which will be displayed on the auction's web page. Each auction will have a number of slots available. A bid is considered a winning bid if its position within the bid table displayed on the auction is less than or equal to the number of slots available in the auction.
An eligible user may place a bid on an auction. If two bids are placed for the same server by an eligible user, the higher bid will take precedence while the lower bid shall be discarded.
By placing a bid, the user agrees to honour the bid in full should their bid be a winning bid. There is no right of refund on a bid. Battle may - at its sole discretion - refund or cancel a bid on the request of a user.
An auction will automatically conclude within five minutes of an auction's defined completion time. In the event of a system failure, bids after the completion time will be discarded (excluding bids made within five minutes of the defined completion time).
If a user fails to pay a bid, Battle may collect it as a debt via the relevant courts. Additional bidders may be offered the slot position at
In the event of a dispute over an auction bid, Battle will have the final say on the order of bids.
